Highlands Kids Ministry creates a loving and safe environment for children newborn through age 12 to learn about the Bible and grow in their relationship with God. (See Highlands Youth for information on classes for our older children.)
Highlands Kids’ classes are available the first, second, and third Sundays of each month. Classes begin on the first and third Sundays at 10:45. Children are dismissed from the sanctuary with a dismissal sign on the screen. On the last Sunday of each month, “Big Family Sunday,” children remain with the family for worship and communion.
Highlands Kids classes are provided in two classrooms. Classrooms are labeled as HK1 and HK3 in the Highlands Kids hall.
To participate, parents and/or guardians simply fill out an application at our Welcome desk. You can fill it out ahead of time by downloading the pdf.
Highlands Kids Ministry takes your child’s safety and security very seriously. All teachers and volunteers have passed background checks, and there is a strict check in and check out system in place.
Highlands Kids uses The Gospel Project curriculum, featuring Christ-centered age-appropriate and engaging courses and activities. Our children learn how the gospel unfolds from Genesis through Revelation. We want our kids to truly experience the Gospel, so their hearts may be transformed.
Chronological approach allows kids to see how the whole Bible points to Christ.
Spend equal time in the Old and New Testaments, learning how every story connects to the Gospel.
Bible stories are brought to life through creative teaching elements.
Family resources and age alignment make it easy for families to grow in the Gospel together.
