Highlands Community Groups
Studying God’s Word in Fellowship
WHAT ARE COMMUNITY GROUPS?
Jesus never said for us to go and make church, but He did say, “Go, and make disciples!” At Highlands, Community Groups are our way of growing in knowledge of His Word, gathering in fellowship, and reaching out to our community and declaring the finished work of Christ. These groups are the very fabric of what makes big church feel like a close family. Community Groups meet in different locations across our county. Participants are welcome throughout the year. Knowing God's Character
Facilitator: Maureen Gower
Have you ever wondered why does God seem to have one personality or character in the Old Covenant and an entirely different personality or character in the New? Which one is REALLY His character?
We will explore this and more in a new community group. While initially planned for 13 weeks, we will move at the pace of the Holy Spirit. Although we will use a couple of sources, the leading book will be “God is Good: He’s Better Than You Think” by Bill Johnson. Maureen Gower will host the group at her home. We hope to see you there! We must know our Father’s character to fully walk our inheritance.
