Highlands Community Groups

Studying God’s Word in Fellowship

WHAT ARE COMMUNITY GROUPS?

Jesus never said for us to go and make church, but He did say, “Go, and make disciples!” At Highlands, Community Groups are our way of growing in knowledge of His Word, gathering in fellowship, and reaching out to our community and declaring the finished work of Christ. These groups are the very fabric of what makes big church feel like a close family. Community Groups meet in different locations across our county. Participants are welcome throughout the year. Spring Groups being planned now.

Griefshare

A support group to help you
move through the grief process

Thursdays @ 6 pm
March 14 for 13 week weeks

Open to the Community
$10 fee for workbook.

Facilitator: Leader Philip LeMatire, a pastoral care counselor and trained GriefShare facilitator

A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief.

Through this 13-week group, Christ-centered program, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief.

Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.

Griefshare is offered at 15,000 churches nationwide and has helped over a million people.

Sharing Your Faith: Making Disciples

When: 6 pm Tuesdays, Starting April 23, 2024

Facilitator: Jill Emerson

Jesus told us to follow Him and go and make disciples. It is The Great Commission. But many of us do not know how to begin. We wonder: “How do we pray with someone?”, “How do we lead someone to Christ?”, “How do we answer new believer questions?”.
This group will give members the tools and confidence to walk out this sacred responsibility. Using practical tips, videos, workbooks, and materials from the Time To Revive program. Together, members will practice how to approach and disciple new believers.
