The Highlands Men’s Breakfast is scheduled for THIS Saturday, April 18th at 9 am. Join us for a great meal, and fellowship with your amazing brothers in Christ, and bring a friend! We hope to see you there! 

The Buck family has welcomed their baby girl, Lainey, into the world! We would like to come alongside them and be a blessing to them during this special time. A meal train has been set up to help support them in the days ahead. Please note that there are some dietary restrictions listed when you sign up.

Register for G.A.P.– Applications are needed by April 22nd with a $25 deposit.  Are you 13–19 years old and have a desire to help your community? If so, see Mrs. Viki Rogers today and get registered for G.A.P. (God Answers Prayers)! This annual week of lawn care, pressure washing, deck building, and remodeling is a great opportunity to serve others, make a real difference, and grow in your faith alongside friends. This year’s GAP week is June 21st-26th.Don’t miss your chance to be part of something meaningful this summer! We are also looking for work gloves and snacks for our GAP participants! There is a bin under the GAP table if you would like to donate snacks, water, gatorade, and pickles! 

Is a member of your family graduating this year? We’d love to honor them! Please list their name and grade graduated on the sign-up sheet in the foyer. Grades 8, 12, GED, post graduate degrees, college or advanced degrees. They will be honored during service on Sunday, May 17th.

The National Day of Prayer will be celebrated on Thursday, May 7th, at 12pm at the Fentress County Courthouse. This year is the 75th Anniversary, and we’d like to make it special by showcasing the unity of the body of Christ! We invite our Highlands family to join us as we pray over our schools, community, government and churches.

HIGHLANDS CAFE TEAM MEETING – There will be a Highlands Cafe team meeting this Wednesday, April 8th, before service at 5:30 pm in HK2. Please make plans to attend if you serve, or are interested in serving. There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer!

You’re Invited to Holy Week 2026 – Area churches are once again uniting to celebrate Holy Week each weekday from noon to 1 pm. A different pastor will deliver the message at noon, and their church will serve lunch at the Jamestown Methodist Church. Pastor Jason will be speaking on Wednesday, April 1st, and Highlands Church will be providing lunch that day as well. Thank you to the volunteers who signed up to provide desserts and drinks. If you are able, be sure to attend every day for a great Word, food, and fellowship.

Don’t miss celebrating Resurrection Day this Sunday at Highlands Church! We will enjoy beautiful praise music, performances from our Highlands Kids, an amazing message, baby dedications, and Holy Communion.

March 25th – April 1st Announcements

LADIES’ ROOM RENOVATION UPDATE – The new and improved Ladies’ Room is open! Among the improvements are new counters, sinks, fixtures, mirrors, and a new floor. We still have some finishing touches to make, but thank you all for your patience as we renovated this space. Just a heads up, the changing station area is safe to use now, but will soon be fully finished. We hope you enjoy!

MARCH 18-25 Announcements

We are still accepting letters for Mrs Donna Brainard during her Walk to Grace expedition. Letters can be dropped in the box at the Info Desk. Letters must be turned in before the end of service on Wednesday! 

LADIES’ ROOM RENOVATION UPDATE – The new and improved Ladies Room will hopefully reopen in time for Sunday’s service! SPRING WALK TO GRACE: The Women’s Walk to Grace starts tomorrow evening, Thursday March 19th. Attending from Highlands will be Donna Brainard. We invite everyone that is able to write Donna a letter of encouragement and leave it in the drop-box on the table in the foyer, under the tv. Closing will be Sunday March 22nd at 2:30 pm at Allen’s Chapel in Smithville, TN, for those able to attend.

MEN’S BREAKFAST: Highlands men, winter weather caused us to cancel our last Men’s Breakfast. We are rescheduling for Saturday, April 18th. This will be a time to come together, enjoy a good meal, fellowship, and build stronger relationships with one another! SAVE THE DATE FOR VBS!: This year’s Vacation Bible School, titled Maginify!, will take place Sunday, July 19th through Thursday, July 23rd.

Highlands Kids:

Sign In & Dismissal – Parents, we’d love your help! Please try to check in your kids before 10:00 AM on Sundays and 6:00 PM on Wednesdays. Also, wait to take them to class until Highlands Kids are officially dismissed from the Sanctuary. This gives our teachers time to get to their rooms and be ready to welcome your little ones. Thank you so much!

Moms and Dads – note that children under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult when using the restroom. The well-being and safety of your children is our greatest responsibility!

Please ensure your child/children are with you when they’re not in class. Children may not play on the playground without adult supervision. Thank you!

The HK TRAINING AND LUNCHEON is this Sunday, March 8th, right after service. This meeting is for ALL who serve in Highlands Kids, and for ANYONE interested in serving. 

LADIES’ ROOM RENOVATION – Renovations are nearing completion, and we anticipate finishing touches soon.  Women, please continue to temporarily use the Men’s Room. Men use the Family Room (just inside the Women’s Room to the left), and the bathroom in the storage room (just before the Women’s Room). Signs are posted. Thank you ALL for your grace and understanding as we improve this space!

WALK TO GRACE IN MARCH: The Spring Men’s walk is this week, Thursday, March 5th – Sunday, March 8th, in Smithville. Please keep our Highlands men who are attending in your prayers! We also encourage you to write them a letter of support! James Hopkins and Dave Cox are our men who will be attending! There is a letter-drop-box on the table in the foyer, under the tv. 

The Women’s Walk will follow March 19th – March 22nd. Learn more about this amazing opportunity to deepen your walk with the Lord. VBS VOLUNTEER MEETING IS MARCH 15th – Whether you like to teach, help, cook, decorate, clean, dance, or sing… Highlands Vacation Bible School needs you!
