Spread the Word! The Community House offers a weekly outreach from 1 pm to 4 pm every Thursday at First Baptist Jamestown, providing those in need with the opportunity to shower, enjoy a healthy lunch, fellowship, and access free resources. Operation Christmas Child– It’s time to start thinking about Operation Christmas Child (O.C.C.)! Let’s begin now by praying for the children who will receive these special shoeboxes and preparing to bless them with gifts filled with love. June is WOW Month—the perfect time to purchase a standout item that will light up a child’s face! Think dolls, stuffed animals, musical instruments, soccer balls with pumps, flip flops, or other large toys that will fit in a shoebox. Shoeboxes are packed for boys and girls ages 2–4, 5–9, and 10+. Please remember: no food, soap, liquids, breakables, army-related items, knives, or toothpaste. Let’s make this Christmas unforgettable for a child in need!

The 3rd Annual HK Christmas Bazaar is scheduled for Saturday, November 1st, 2025, from 11 am to 4 pm. Just in time for the Christmas holiday, area vendors will display crafts, baked goods and other homemade and unique creations. The only fee is to rent a table. Vendors keep their proceeds. This fundraiser for Highland’s Kids program has continued to grow each year. For more information on selling and buying, visit  https://www.highlandschurchtn.org/hk-christmas-bazaar/

Note: The deadline for vendors to register and pay for table(s) is October 18th, 2025. Questions? See Kim Ward or Kim Gove.

GAP- Keep all GAP students and volunteers in your prayers this week, as they bless those in need in our community! Everyone is invited to special 7:30 pm GAP worship services at Roanoke Church on Thursday and Friday.

HK Dismissal – Parents, please wait to bring your children to their classes until Highlands Kids are officially dismissed from the Sanctuary. That way, teachers have time to get to their classrooms.

Sanctuary Reminders – We love our sanctuary and every one of you! A few reminders:
1 – Please do not move the chairs in the sanctuary. The spacing between rows is designed to allow for the comfort of all guests. 2- There is NO FOOD allowed in the sanctuary. Feel free to go to the Cafe if you need a snack during service. 3 – NO DRINKS are allowed except spill-proof containers of water. We thank you for helping us keep this space both sacred and worshipper-friendly.
