The Highlands Church Daily Portions Outreach will offer prepaid laundry for those in need at the “Laundry Mat” at 315 N Main Street this Saturday, November 16th, from Noon to 4 pm.

Volunteers will set up a food station behind Union Bank with homemade sandwiches and sides, hot soup, and drinks. There will also be free clothing as well as hair-cutting services with three volunteer barbers, and an activity area for kids.

“Our goal is to serve and love those in our community,” explains Pastor Jason Kerr. This is the third event organized by the Daily Portion Outreach this year, with previous outreaches held at the historic courthouse attracting 250 plus at each event.

Also in attendance will be The Community House, a newly formed nonprofit organization. They will share information on area food, services, and outreach resources.
