Joseph Hubbard is a paleobiologist, archaeologist, naturalist, creation researcher, animal keeper, and book enthusiast. He is completing degrees in Natural Science, Archaeology, and Zoology. He has over 13 years experience in the field of paleontology and nature work, and 4 years experience in the animal care industry. Since 2014, he has worked with Creation
Research and the UK branch, performing research, talks, presentations, and leading field trips.
CUMBERLAND G.A.P. UPDATES (God Answers Prayer): JUNE 25TH- 30TH
WAYS to SERVE:
- Adult volunteers are needed to work at the job sites (people’s homes).*
- Donations of food, drinks, and snacks are needed (lots of bottled waters, teas, electrolyte drinks, fruit, pretzels, homemade snacks, granola bars, snack mixes, cookies, etc). Food/drink donations may be brought to HCOTC June 4th through June 23rd (please mark them “GAP”).
- Volunteers needed to make sandwiches (contact Elaine Seymour, 931-510-3880).*
- Volunteers needed to deliver lunches to workers at worksites Mon-Fri (this includes taking lunch for homeowners, visiting with them, praying over lunch, etc).*

PLAYGROUND: It’s that time of year again. Please make sure when playing on the Highlands playground you always have an adult present. Enjoy!
HK NEEDS YOU!: Church, we have a wonderful, loyal team serving in Highlands Kids (and we’re so thankful!), but we still have a massive need for more to come onboard. Our church has grown substantially, and we’re blessed with so many new children to love and minister to…that’s why we need YOU! You’ll find applications/signups at the HK welcome desk!
MONUMENTAL, HCOTC VBS: Save the date and get registered for our upcoming VBS, July 17th-21st! Whether you’re a parent eager to sign up your littles, or one of our awesome volunteers…you’ll find the easy-to-complete form at the link here, HCOTC VBS 2023!
VBS: There is a mandatory meeting for all VBS volunteers this Sunday, June 25th, after service in the cafe.
RIVER BAPTISM AND PICNIC: JULY 23rd, Don’t miss your opportunity to be baptized in the beautiful Wolf River. ( this is a once a year event) Sign-up now in the foyer. Bring a side dish or dessert to share. John Wheeler will be cooking his famous barbecue!
GREETERS: We want to add some new faces/hearts/hands. If you love to smile, say a kind word, WE need YOU! There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer. Thank you!
OCC (Operation Christmas Child): We need some tiny first aid kits, sewing kits (make your own or purchase), and small tool sets to make the boxes helpful and special. We want to thank all who donate each year!
HK CHRISTMAS BAZAR (date to be determined): This is an HK fundraiser event. We have so many talented people in our church just chomping at the bit to show off all the beautiful things you can make. So get those creative minds going!
HIGHLANDERS MEN’S GROUP: The next Men’s group is TBD. We will keep you posted.
HIGHLANDERS STUDENTS (ages 13-19): We meet each Wed., immediately after worship/announcement in HK3 classroom. (We will be in the sanctuary this Wed for Indiana Joe!)

UNITED SISTERS (US): Women’s Community group is starting THIS Thursday, June 22nd at 6 pm at Highlands Church. If you haven’t already signed up feel free to just come this Thursday and enjoy the fellowship of these wonderful ladies.
